Have you ever found an injured bird, rabbit or squirrel and wondered what to do? Did you know that Pueblo has a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, Nancy Kelly, who can help? The name of the organization is Second Chance Wildlife, and several volunteers help Nancy deal with her large caseload of injured wildlife. The group receives some financial assistance from grants, but these are limited, especially in these hard economic times. Donations are always needed to help keep this much-needed service going. Second Chance Wildlife is a 501c3 organization, so donations are tax deductible. If you would like to help, there are several ways you can do so:
1) Make a donation at the time that you deliver an injured animal to be treated.
2) Follow the link to their website and make a donation via Paypal.
3) Choose this organization as your preferred recipient on GoodSearch.com and GoodBuy.com. Doing so results in a donation to Second Chance every time you search online, or certain businesses will donate a portion of online purchases to this group.
4) Second Chance Wildlife Rehab Center is part of the eBay Giving Works program. So, you can support our mission when you buy and sell on eBay.
Plans are currently underway for a fundraiser to benefit this great organization. Watch our website for updates on this event or events.
